II. Form & Function

Made for every day but built to last a lifetime, our products are the beautifully designed necessities that make up a home cook’s toolkit.

We do our research and create products optimized for performance, never sacrificing on materials, craftsmanship or aesthetics.

A note from

Eunice + Dave

In each of our childhood homes, food was the great connector, a way for our Korean and Vietnamese parents to share culture, express love and nourish their families. From daily meals to special occasion feasts, our parents instilled in us a love and appreciation for the power of cooking.

We started Material to create beautiful, innovative kitchenware that honors simple, profound pleasures, just like those. Kitchenware that makes the daily act of preparing food not just easier but downright pleasurable.

We can’t wait to see what you cook up with your Material. See you in the kitchen!

In partnership with The Siegel Family Endowment, we jointly granted $25,000 to the Korean American Community Foundation. Additionally, we continue to support Heart of Dinner andDrive Change through our reBoard colors, To Pó-Po with Love and Reimagine Justice.

Driven by the global COVID-19 pandemic, our community rallied together to support City Harvest,Urban Creators, and our two Kinder Kitchens’ organizations – Heart of Dinner and Drive Change.

We introduced Kinder Kitchens, our annual charitable giving campaign, which invites our community to join us in supporting organizations which share our values. In 2019, we focused on organizations working to unite families and bring them together again, with funds going to RAICES and City Harvest.

Upon launching our first set of products, we partnered with The Sylvia Center to gift graduating students their own kitchenware collection to continue fostering their love of home cooking.
