We’re excited to announce the launch of our first-ever kid’s cooking collection, a joyful new line we’ve dreamed of introducing for years. The kitchen is a special place. It’s the center of any home—where we go to create and connect with our loved ones after a long day of staring at our screens.
Our hope with this new collection is simple: that people of all ages will spend more time and enjoy the time spent cooking. It’s not about perfecting a skill. It’s about exploring new flavors and textures, embracing messes and silly moments, passing on traditions and building confidence.
Our co-founder, Eunice, spent hours in the kitchen as a little girl, learning recipes from her parents and fixing herself snacks after school. Now, as a parent herself, to two young daughters, cooking together is an opportunity for connection and learning.
“They love the entire process of making something -- from measuring out the ingredients to whisking them all together to dancing while waiting for things to cook” she says.
So when it came time for us to think about designing a collection specifically for kids, we wanted to capture all of that creativity and spontaneity in the kitchen, just in a smaller size. We took one of our bestselling tools, The Air Whisk, and created a bite-sized version, perfectly sized for younger cooks, as well as mini whisking tasks (salad dressing, anyone?). To go alongside it, we designed a petite spatula for all the mixing, scraping and tasting that’s a part of any cooking adventure. Both are made with our dishwasher-safe, BPA-free silicone, in punchy pinks, blues, and of greens that bring pops of color into your kitchen.
To get the cooking started, we called our friends, cookbook author Joshua David Stein and illustrator Erin Jang, to help us design a cooking game that makes it easy (and fun) to make recipes with kids of all ages. Together, we created The Cook Deck, a highly visual, highly delightful kids cooking card game that involves piecing together the steps to the recipe and layering in delicious and interesting ingredients along the way. All three (the mini Spatula, Air Whisk, and Cook Deck), are available a la carte, or as a kit for $45.
