This is one utensil I didn't have and I've found it to be very useful--bigger and deeper than my regular slotted spoon but not as big as a spider or other large scoop. It also has a pleasing design and is solidly made.

My previous slotted spoon had a plastic handle that melted. This one is well balanced and all metal. It should last me the rest of my cooking days.
