Shipping, returns & exchanges
We currently ship to addresses in the continental United States and Canada. If you‘re interested in placing an order outside the U.S. or Canada, email firstname.lastname@example.org. We do not currently ship to P.O. Boxes.
We offer free UPS ground shipping on orders $25 or more within the continental U.S. For orders under $25, it is a flat $5 shipping fee. For Canada, we collect shipping payment that also covers duties and customs.
First, that makes you a very tasteful gift-giver. Just enter the recipient’s shipping address into the designated fields during checkout. If you don’t know what you want to gift, keep it simple and purchase a gift card so they can select their Material themselves.
Our knives and wooden products, such as The Wood Spoon and The Angled Board, should be hand-washed. All other products can be cleaned in the dishwasher.
All of our products are designed to last. If one of your items is damaged, email email@example.com so we can fix or replace it. The only items that we do not offer a lifetime guarantee on are our limited edition products, given that they are one-time offerings.
Washing: Hand-washing your knives with a non-abrasive sponge is the way to go. Steer clear of the dishwasher to prevent damage to the blade and handle. Sharpening: We recommend an easy-to-use knife sharpener or if your knife needs an extra bit of TLC, a yearly professional sharpening. We also recommend honing your knife after 4-5 heavy duty uses, or as soon as you find yourself struggling to cut through a tomato with ease.
Our knives are made from three layers of Japanese stainless steel. The outer two layers are corrosion-resistant steel that make the knives easy to care for (no need to wipe down immediately), and the inner layer is a high-carbon steel that provides superior durability and strength for excellent cutting performance. Our knives have a Rockwell hardness of 59 ± 1, are ice-tempered to increase hardness, and feature a 26-degree blade to ensure optimal sharpness. Both have stain-resistant handles and a smooth, hand-finished bolster that provides a firm and comfortable grip.
