First, that makes you a very tasteful gift-giver. Just enter the recipient’s shipping address into the designated fields during checkout. We’ll confirm the color choice with the recipient prior to shipping and they will have the option to select another color. Just make sure to include their email address during checkout so we can ask them before we ship.
The Metal Spoon, The Only Tongs and The Slotted Spatula are totally dishwasher safe. The 8” Knife, The Almost 4” Knife and The Wood Spoon should be hand-washed.

Washing: Hand-washing your knives with a non-abrasive sponge is the way to go. Steer clear of the dishwasher to prevent damage to the blade and handle. Sharpening: We recommend a yearly professional sharpening. We also recommend honing your knife after 4-5 heavy duty uses, or as soon as you find yourself struggling to cut through a tomato with ease.
Our knives are made from three layers of Japanese stainless steel. The outer two layers are corrosion-resistant steel that make the knives easy to care for (no need to wipe down immediately), and the inner layer is a high-carbon steel that provides superior durability and strength for excellent cutting performance. Our knives have a Rockwell hardness of 59 ± 1, are ice-tempered to increase hardness, and feature a 26-degree blade to ensure optimal sharpness. Both have stain-resistant handles and a smooth, hand-finished bolster that provides a firm and comfortable grip.
Our products are made in a region of Southern China known for its storied history in knife-making and kitchenware manufacturing. Kitchen products have been crafted in this part of the world for over 1,400 years, and the factories we chose have over a century of expertise under their belts.
